Real life baby for Corrie actress

It’s a case of life imitating art for Coronation Street actress Samia Smith.

The 26-year-old has spent the past two years playing a pregnant woman on the cobbled streets of Weatherfield.

However, no sooner will her character Maria Connor give birth then her real life pregnancy will take hold.

She is expected to give birth in October.

The actress recently lost her father Joseph following a battle against cancer. She is said to be delighted that she had the opportunity to tell him that she and her husband are expecting their first child.
