Say Bonjour to little Giulia
The premier dame of France Carla Bruni-Sarkozy, 43 has given birth to a baby girl.
Her husband who’s the president of France, Nicolas Sarkozy, 56, spent around 30 minutes with his wife before heading off to a meeting in Germany.
The birth took place in complete secrecy, with the couple doing everything possible to keep it under wraps.
They’ve since called their child Giulia Bruni-Sarkozy. On Carla’s official website she says: “I am deeply touched by the many messages of congratulations that I have received since the birth of our daughter Giulia.
On this happy occasion, my husband joins me in expressing our warmest thanks to all those of you who sent us these tokens of your kindness.”
Carla Bruni-Sarkozy, who’s a former supermodel turned pop singer, had insisted that it was a ‘private matter’, and even said there would ‘never’ be any photographs of the child.
What there probably will be though, is a return to smoking and drinking of which Carla said is the thing she’s missed the most since becoming pregnant.
Carla Bruni-Sarkozy already has a 10 year old son, Aurelien, with the philosopher, Rafael Enthoven.
President Sarkozy also already has two sons, 26 year old Pierre and Jean, 25, from his first marriage to Marie-Dominique Culioli, and a third child Louis whose 14 to his second wife Cecilia Ciganer-Albeniz.
Did you know? Carla Bruni-Sarkozy will be the first serving Premier Dame of France to have a child.
Congratulations guys xx
