Elizabeth Berkley gives birth to a baby boy
The star of Showgirls and former Saved by the Bell actress, Elizabeth Berkley has given birth to her first baby, Sky Cole Lauren.
The 40-year-old actress actually welcomed her son into the world on July the 20th and he weighed in at a healthy 8lbs.
Elizabeth is remembered fondly by people of a similar age for her role as brain box Jesse Spano in Saved By The Bell. However, she also got tongues wagging when she took on the raunchy title role in sexy film Showgirls.
But she clearly has no underestimations about her latest role of Motherhood as she told People Magazine back in May: "I'm getting ready for the role of a lifetime"
Elizabeth and artist Greg Lauren married in 2003 and Sky is the couples first child. On announcing the pregnancy back in March Elizabeth said: "I'm due in the summer and there is a reason they give you nine months to get ready".
Before becoming an actress Elizabeth trained as a dancer and appeared in several ballets and musicals and was once a teen model for American Model Agency Elite. Elizabeth has worked in a pressured industry from a young age and therefore, she admirably used being in the public eye to set up her own website to help teenage girls. The website called Ask Elizabeth hopes to help young girl's suffering from low self-esteem.
This week Elizabeth has described the moment of both her and her husband meeting their son as: "Love at first sight" . Awh! He's a keeper then?
Congratulations guys. Xx
