The daughter is constantly making cups of tea. Don’t worry - I’m not letting her run around with boiling kettles - it’s all make believe.
She’s started to driving me mad with it. She’s like Mrs Doyle from Father Ted “Would you have a cup of tea. Oh go on, have a cup of tea.”
This has been replaced by the daughter as “Tea, mammy. Tea?”.
The problem is, I don’t even drink tea! I’ve been trying to persuade her to say “Coffee, Mammy?”. Unfortunately, she is unwilling to help me out with that one. Just as well, I probably drink far to much coffee anyway.
I finish one of her imaginary cups of tea and she comes with another. This morning I was given a plastic cup with a plastic tomato stuck inside it - I think this was probably supposed to be a biscuit - very thoughtful but a Rich Tea is always better than a tomato - for me anyway.
I think it’s time the three of us went on a holiday - maybe we could head to Scotland. We’ve got a great What’s On Guide this month - all about the area of Dunblane and Stirling. It sounds like a beautiful part of the world.
If you want to listen to it, tune in on Friday between 3-4pm.
Hey Joanne
You really made me laugh with this one, so funny - arn’t kids hilarious. I caught the back end of the What’s On about Dunblane and thought it sounded gorgeous. A weekend in the highlands may be on the cards now.. Ha ha. Great blog by the way.
