It’s a boy for Travis star

A big congratulations to Travis bass guitarist Dougie Payne and his wife, actress Kelly MacDonald following the safe arrival of their first child - a son named Freddie Peter Payne.

Freddie was born on Sunday 9th March, weighing 8lbs, 11ozs.

Dougie announced his sons birth on the band’s website - Travis Online.

“Hey all it is with huge delight and enormous soppy grins that we can tell you we have a wee boy!

Freddie Peter Payne was born on the 9th of march and weighed in at an impressive 8lb 11oz. He is blonde, blue eyed, bouncing and beautiful. Mum is doing great and baby is thriving.

Dad’s mind is blown in the best way possible.

Dougie has had huge success with band Travis with numerous albums recorded including Good Feeling and The Boy with No Name. New Mum Kelly is also a popular actress and has recently starred in No Country For Old Men.
