Jordan and Alex marry in Vegas!

February 3, 2010

jordan.gifSo the celebrity hungry Katie Price has married Alex Reid - just as his poularity is on the rise and he’s won Celebrity Big Brother. Sorry, do I sound cynical?

She even wants to have his babies!

The happy couple announced the news via the model’s official website.

Their official statement read “Katie and Alex are delighted to announce that they got married in a private, simple ceremony at 4pm (PST) on February 2nd in Las Vegas.

We are very much in love and look forward to the future together.  We can’t wait to get back and celebrate our marriage with our friends and family who we know fully support our wishes.

Their decision to marry has not been made with any media deal in place, it is purely down to their love for each other.”

Isn’t it a shame that they’ve had to spell out that the decision had nothing to do with publicity!

Oh well, if they’re happy I genuinely wish them and her three children Harvey, Junior and Princess every happiness.

Wonder how long it’ll be until we hear the pitter patter of tiny feet?

We’ll be hearing the sound soon in the Gallacher household - two weeks to go until due date. I went a week early with my daughter but I have an awful feeling I’m going to go over with this one.

I’ve already been told by the midwife that bubba feels “big and chunky”. That has scared me slightly, it seems that people regularly have 10lb babies! Oh well, it’ll be what it’ll be!

My sister-in-law asked me if I was nesting yet and no I’m not - does that mean that labour is still not imminent? I definitely did the cleaning thing when I was expecting my daughter but this time around it’s different.

I’m cleaning constantly because of the daughter! Not to mention the meals that have to be made. I’ve got swollen ankles too! The midwife says I need to drink more water and elevate them.

I tell you what though, I have become addicted to Deliver Me on the Home and Health Channel.  It’s an American programme based around three female doctors who seem to think everything is “awesome”.

I have been amazed by the amount of women in America who have epidurals - not saying there’s anything wrong with it but they all get them and then lots of them have c-sections too.

They’re nearly always strapped to the bed too - walk around and let gravity help you.

Nearly every other birth on there seems to be an operation - still I suppose they pay for it - maybe that’s why their beds look bigger!
