I had a wonderful day of Christmas shopping on Saturday. I braved the shops in Liverpool and it wasn’t too busy. Yes, there were lots of people milling around but I wasn’t waiting long in queues so it was good.
The daughter stayed at home and enjoyed some Daddy time. The husband has been working non-stop the last few weeks and we feel as though we haven’t really seen him. Still, when the daughter complains I tell her that Daddy has to work to get pennies for her Dora computer - the one toy that she has consistently asked Father Christmas for.
So far this has made her feel better!
Liverpool was brilliant. They’ve ploughed lots of money into the area in recent years and it’s been money well spent. There’s a new John Lewis store and from the cafe it has amazing views across the Mersey. There was even a little Christmas market. If anyone wants to visit the city I would highly recommend it. Why not visit our What’s On Guide of Liverpool to get a local Mum’s view of the city.
Like I say I had a great day and when I got back the house was gleaming - thank you husband - and tea was just being served. Yes it was a quiche which I had made earlier but it was warmed through lovely and he’d done some chips to go with it.
All in all a succesful weekend!

Im glad you enjoyed your day shopping in Liverpool, I have been there but not Xmas shopping. I am going Xmas shopping in Plymouth on Thursday so hope it will be a wonderful day too.
Liverpool sounds fab for shopping!! I must go there one day! sounds lovely coming home to a gleaming house too :)
xx
I’ve never shopped in Liverpool, but I hope it’s less busy than oxford street in london 3 weeks before xmas
I am doing nearly all my Christmas pressie shopping online to avoid the queues, jostling people & bad weather! Have been doing it this way for a few years now & Christmas seems a little less stressful!
