Research shows that a quarter of women in the UK are not on the right contraception to suit their lifestyle. A new study commissioned by contraceptive experts Bayer Schering Pharma has found that 47% of women admit that they’ve been unhappy with a contraceptive pill. However less than half have thought to find an alternative.
So, we asked Dr Rosemary Leonard MBE why women were putting up with contraceptives that weren’t working for them. In this interview she explains all about the pill, coils like the mirena and hormonal injections.
