Whether you drink Wu long tea, powder tea or normal tea it would seem drinking tea is actually good for us. More than half of us are fooling ourselves that we eat and drink healthily and as a result, suffering fatigue and bad moods are the outcome, but can drinking tea really be the healthy option?
According to a new study commissioned by the Tea Advisory Panel. Men and women aged 25 to 54 answered questions from the General Well-Being Schedule, a recognised indicator of mood and well-being. Those in ‘moderate distress’ were significantly more likely to be consuming considerably less than the recommended number of portions of fruit and vegetables. All of those who admitted they ate the wrong foods were in ‘moderate or severe distress.’
Celebrity mum Melinda Messenger has been working with the Tea Advisory Panel to help them raise awareness of the numerous health benefits of drinking tea. Yes, health benefits of drinking tea “The message is clear: Living a healthy lifestyle is associated with helping us to feel good. Eating a balanced diet, drinking enough fluid such as tea (which also contains antioxidants); limiting our alcohol intake; taking physical activity; and having a good balance between work and leisure is linked with an increased sense of well being”.
