What can you do in Barnet?
Barnet is a really lovely area to live in. There are lots of things to do with kids and little toddlers and babies,” she said.We have fantastic transport links into the city, we’ve got Edgeware Station so we have the best of both worlds…40 minutes into the centre of London. There’s a bit of everything. One of my favourite places is The Arts Depot in North Finchley the whole centre is dedicated to the arts. They also have a theatre there. There’s a gymboree, the one in Harrow is fantastic. They do art classes, music classes and theatre classes. There’s an RAF Museum very close in Hendon…..if you take the tube into town there’s the Science Museum and the Natural History Museum in South Kensington. Both of them I would recommend and they are free too.
How easy is travelling into London from Barnet?
It’s a little bit of a challenge, being organised is a must. Go after 9.30. Don’t go travelling during rush hour. You do rely on a stranger to help you with your pushchair but it is do-able.
Are there parks in Barnet?
There are, I like Willow Farm. It’s is a full day, all the animals are there and you can get tractor rides. Lots to do.
What advice would you offer parents who may be on a budget?
Under twos are often free. I use my Tesco club card vouchers and I used ours to have a day out in Legoland.
What’s it like eating out in Barnet?
Most of the coffee shops are very friendly. You just need to make sure there is space for your pushchair. Everyone is quite accommodating because it is a large family area.
